Photo critiques
For some reason I feel the need to dip back into my college memories of critiques and publicly critique my own work.
This photo taken on a hike on the last day of our last vacation in southern Cal is rather boring except for the subtle motion implied. Starting from the bottom, there is a harmony of orientation that pulls the eye over and around the rocks, then continues a meandering pattern around the edge of the lake (much like a meandering river through terrain). Finally it ends in a bit of disarray under a snow capped mountain that might otherwise seem out of place given the warm glow of evening light on a pleasantly comfortable recreation area.
